KUITHO

Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO)  was known as Polytechnic Staff Training Center (PLSP) in 1993. As the country's 15th public university, KUiTTHO represents a changing nation with a mission to produce and train creative and innovative technologists as well as competent and responsible professionals who are able to apply, explore and lead new technologies  for the benefit of mankind
KUiTTHO is well known for her Engineering Course and a library operate sibce October 1993. The present KUiTTHO library consisting of space of 1119 square meter can accommodate 250 users.  The library has 40,399 titles on monograph materials, 186 titles on magazines and 1808 titles on audio visual materials. Pusat Latihan Staf Politeknik (PLSP - Polytechnic Staff Training Centre) The training centre was set up in 1993 to train engineering lecturers for the Polytechnics under the sixth Malaysian Plan. Its establishment was officiated by the then Minister of Education on September 16, 1993. It was jointly managed by the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Ministry of Education under a memorandum of understanding signed on July 28, 1993. PLSP contributed significantly towards technical human resource development for this country and  led to an official announcement of a new status and name, i.e. the Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO) on April 12, 1996.
Institut Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (ITTHO) - ITTHO's contributions toward the development of scientific and technological civilisation in realising Malaysia's role as a global player are well recognised. Thus, on September 27, 2000, the Cabinet, under Section 20 of the University and University Colleges Act 1971, has agreed to upgrade the status of ITTHO to a full pledged university to be known as Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn (KUiTTHO). The historical announcement was made by the then Minister of Education, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Musa bin Mohammad on September 30, 2000.
